An Aviandrian-ish Halloween–How Halloween and Aviandria can go together

Okay, before we start, I just wanted to announce to the world, that for the first time, I’m actually going to try doing NaNoWriMo in November. If you haven’t heard of NaNoWriMo, it’s short for National Novel Writing Month. It’s where you try to write an entire novel of at least 50,000 words from start to end in one month. If you succeed, you “win” and get a nice little certificate you can print. I’ve wanted to try it ever since I first heard of it, but it has never been the right time. I’ve always been busy trying to finish a book (you can’t count starting in the middle for NaNoWriMo) or been trying to edit a book or been busy with just… well, life. This year, I’m at the point I’m waiting on Beta readers before I can continue editing the book I’ve been working on, and I don’t have another pressing project I’m in the middle of, so it just works. Anyhow, that starts tomorrow. So, wish me luck. I might need it. And now, back to what I was originally going to write about.

So, if you’ve read much at all, you probably know that there really isn’t such a thing as Halloween in Aviandria, but that doesn’t mean they don’t do some things that would fit in well enough with our own Halloween celebrations. So, if you want to celebrate Halloween with a slightly Aviandrian flair, here are some things you could use.

To start with, here is a link to some Aviandria-ish costume ideas.

Of course, food is always a fun part of any celebration, so here is an Aviandrian pumpkin soup recipe that would be great for this time of year.

And what is Halloween without a hint of spookiness? Here is an Aviandrian ghost story for you to set the mood.

Most of all, have fun, and happy Halloween!

What things do you like to do on Halloween? If you could take one of your traditions to Aviandria, what would it be?
