Picture It– How the Author Sees Keys of Aviandria

This week there are two things I am so excited about. First, you know how I mentioned I was entering a scary story contest? Well, I won something! I don’t know whether it’s first, second, third prize or something else—I will find out tonight—but I’m over-the-moon excited. It’s the same scary story contest that started my writing career when I won it around twenty years ago. I’m seriously thrilled. I haven’t exactly become the next J.K. Rowlings like the librarian said last time, but this is just about as good.

And the second thing is, the next book in my Aviandrian trilogy is well on its way to being published. (I guess I already shared this last week, but I’m still excited.) I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that I can have it out before Christmas. If not by then, at least soon after. I’ve already made a short trailer for it, but that trailer doesn’t have actual pictures of people or events from the book. Someday, when I’m totally rich, I’ll do an entire photo shoot with models and costumes and everything to depict some of the scenes in the books. However, until then, I’ve done my best to portray some of these things with a pencil and paper. They aren’t perfect, but that’s okay. I trust you not to laugh too hard. Unfortunately, most of them got misplaced before I could get a nice scan of them, but fortunately, I took some pictures first. Hopefully, they aren’t too blurry.

An Aviandrian rider on a college campus? What could it mean? And what do you think is going through his head?

It appears as if Ashlynn’s fortunes have reversed. And what is she running from and who is she with? Any guesses?

Well, Ashlynn seems a little better off now. At least she doesn’t look too hurt. And look who she found! Any guesses where he was?

Uh oh! This doesn’t look good for poor Ashlynn. How did this happen and what will she do? Again, all guesses welcome. Feel free to write them in the comments! (Unless, of course, you have been one of my beta readers. In that case, don’t spoil it for others. *Wink, wink*.)

That’s all I’ve got for now. Perhaps there will be more later (if I can figure out how to draw a skunk) or perhaps you’ll just have to read the book and create your own pictures, whether just in your head, or whether you draw them outright. If you do draw any, feel free to share them in the Aviandria Facebook page (So long as they are G or PG rated tops).

Using the information you can gather from the pictures above, what do you think happens in Keys of Aviandria?
