Simple Summer Series–Petite Poem
It’s getting to the point here where it’s so hot you avoid the outside almost more than when it’s cold. As a result, I may be starting to get a case of cabin fever. As a result, this poem came into existence.
That Restless Feeling
I’ve got a restless feeling
The kind that comes from way deep down
It’s the kind that sneaks up on you
And turns things upside down.
My feet don’t want to sit still,
My mind is far away
I’ve tried hard to ignore it,
But it just won’t go away.
The problem is I’m stuck here.
I can’t go very far.
I can’t just pack my clothes up
And drive off in the car.
So how can I get through this?
There’s one place I can look
To find the right adventure.
I think I’ll read a book.
What do you do to fend off that Restless feeling?
