Writing Update! Halfway there, add or take.

I’ve been rotten at keeping up with these posts, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing. I have just been using the limited time I have to work on my book instead. Since thwis week is supposed to be a writing update anyhow, I thought I’d share my progress.

So, if you didn’t get it by the title or picture, I think I’m somewhere around half way through the second draft. The first draft had 39 chapters. Right now, I’m on Chapter 30, but because of changes I’ve made, it is only equivalent to chapter 25 in the first draft. I am also fairly sure there will be a couple more chapters in the second half that I didn’t have in the first draft. (Actually, I know there are because I’ve already written them, so I guess I’m a little further along than I thought. But since they are still the first draft of those chapters, I don’t know if I should count it.)

It isn’t going exactly quickly, but considering the last time I gave an update, I was only on chapter 11, I think I’ve made some progress. I’m feeling like I might actually finish this thing eventually. I wish I had more time, but I’ll use the time I have. So, thank you for your patience, and I’ll see what I can do to get this done sooner rather than later.
