Ask the Author–What do you like doing besides writing?

I can’t believe it’s already May. The end of school is so close you can almost taste it! Summer makes me think of more unstructured time, and the chance to do some things you might not have the time to do when you have things like school. Of course, for adults, it isn’t always like that, but the feelings of when we were in school still sometimes linger that way. So, with the memory of extra free time summer brings, the author question of the month is: What do you like doing besides writing?

That is a good question. I used to have a huge list of things I like to do, but I’ve been so busy for so long, that I haven’t gotten to do many of them in quite a while. I suppose if I got the chance, I would probably still enjoy most of them. So, here are some things I’m pretty sure I still enjoy.

  • Reading
  • Drawing
  • Attending Plays
  • Costume Design
  • Archery
  • Hiking
  • Ice Skating
  • Gardening
  • Most craft type things
  • Playing the violin (especially fiddle music)

Those are at least some of the big ones. Hopefully, this summer I’ll find the time to do one or two of them.

What are your favorite things to do?
