Simplified Summer Series–Fun Phrase

Have you ever heard the phrase “Que sera, sera”, meaning, “whatever may be will be”? I mean, there’s even a song about it. Well, in Aviandria, they have their own version of that saying in the Ancient Elven Tongue.

In the Ancient Elven Tongue, they say, “Fwil motapatap drak atae.” The direct translation is. “Cold rains will come”. In Ancient Elven, they just use the description of “cold rains” to mean winter. So basically, it means “Winter will come.” It is their way of saying if it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen, so essentially, “Whatever may be will be.”
